What’s so bad about stretch marks?

As spring draws near, I’m seeing more and more swimsuit racks appearing in clothing stores. Each time I see a bikini, I have a horrid sinking feeling, knowing that I can never again confidently wear one of these skimpy sets. How unfair it is that stretch marks are a fashion taboo! Having had my first baby at 18 in May 2008, my belly is now striped with light purple lines. As are my hips. And my thighs. Being a young mother, I feel as if I didn’t properly appreciate my slender (comparatively flawless) teenage body. I’m 5’7″, 125 pounds and, besides these scarred stripes, I’d say I’m honestly attractive.
Anyway, my question: Should I throw caution to the wind and proudly show my bikini-clad mama body this summer?

idk….
if someone doesnt know what they are and question you waht those marks are
tell em there battle scars…lmao
do it, if you’re still hot it isnt that huge of a deal.
but i’m pretty sure there are treatments for stretch marks like cocoa butter or something it what my mom used.
Why not girl! Ot some point or another ALL women get stretch marks, on their boobs, back of arms, legs hips, thighs, even on their lower back or neck. we all get them, if you are but concerned they will get larger, cocoa butter or shea butter (lotion works too) helps alot.
I no the feeling…i was obese as a child and now at 16 im like 125 pounds but my body’s so frightened with those things..i feel like wearing jeans and a sweatshirt to the beach….I am extremely self conscious
I reckon you should. Somewhere someone needs to show people that they aren’t so terrible.
Hell to the Ya!!! be proud of who you are and what your body looks like, If I saw you on the beach I wouldn’t look twice at some small marks. your a mommy be proud, everyone would be healthier if they were confident with themselves.
i would. (but i reckon stretch marks are gorgeous!)
=]]
as for helping the stretch marks heal you could also place some coco butter on them, it definably helps them heal quicker.
why not!
ur a momma be proud!
Nearly all women have some kind of stretch marks going on in the tummy, hip, boob region no matter how huge or small, And whether they have kids or not.
You don’t see them on magazine covers because of AIRBRUSHING!
If anyone makes a comment about your stretch marks, then they are an arse.
wear what you feel comfortable in.. and really they have this stuff called bio oil its sold at Walgreen’s it works better than the cocoa butter.. Walgreen’s also has a cheaper version of it.. their brand!!
No one should care.
It’s not your fault. Lol
You can always try rubbing them with cocoa butter.
Works for the scars on my hips. I have them because I grew too quick :/
Well excellent luck!
Where whatever yo want!! You only look as excellent as you carry yourself. As long as your confident your gonnna rock a bikini!!! And besides, people really get that you had a baby and thats just want happens when you have babies sometimes. . . it’s part of life. Most girls have themmm
